About Our Founder
Dr. Bindu Srinath, Founder of Akriti Learning Centre, brings over a decade of experience in the field of special education. Her journey began on a deeply personal note—supporting her own son as he navigated challenges in academics and daily living skills. What started as a mother’s determination to help her child succeed became the foundation of her lifelong commitment to helping children learn, grow, and thrive.
Akriti was born out of lived experience—a place built on compassion, structured support, and the belief that every child deserves to be understood and empowered. Over the years, Akriti has touched the lives of more than 1,000 children and their families, handholding them through their educational journeys and ensuring that truly, every child matters.
Dr. Bindu has worked extensively with children facing learning differences such as Dyslexia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. She provides individualized, evidence-based interventions that foster both academic success and functional independence.
A key focus of her work is Akriti’s BLISS Movement Therapy, her passion project. Dr. Bindu strongly believes that structured and purposeful movement forms the essential foundation for learning, attention, and cognitive development in children. By integrating movement with academic support, she helps children build stronger neural pathways that enhance focus, coordination, and overall learning readiness.
Expanding the mission through adaptive fitness
Adding another feather to her cap, Dr. Bindu is now the proud owner of Special Strong Irving–Denton, Texas, U.S.A. Special Strong Irving–Denton offers science-based adaptive fitness programs designed for individuals with mental, physical, or cognitive challenges. Through structured movement, personalized coaching, and an inclusive environment, the program empowers individuals of all abilities to build confidence, independence, and lifelong strength.

- A trained Orton–Gillingham (OG) Practitioner certified by the Dyslexia Training Institute.
- Certified in Davis Learning Strategies.
- A Certified Special Educator through the Madras Dyslexia Association.
- A Double Doodle Play Instructor (Brain Gym, USA).
- A BLISS Movement Therapy Facilitator.
- A Certified International Brain Gym Instructor and Facilitator.
- A Bal-a-vis-x Practitioner (USA).
- Certified in Primitive Reflex Integration.
- A Certified Adaptive Fitness Trainer.
Through both Akriti Learning Centre and Special Strong, Dr. Bindu continues her mission of helping individuals discover their strengths, build independence, and thrive—proving through her work that when given the right support, every individual can flourish.
