Most children with Learning Disability are either never identified or are identified late in schools. Due to lack of awareness among teachers, parents and school authorities, these children are usually labeled as slow, behind, incapable and failures.

The lack of awareness among the general public as well as educators and officials in the education department is the first problem that needs to be addressed.

At Akriti, we conduct awareness programmes and workshops for Parents, Teachers both at our centre and in schools. These workshops help teachers and parents to identify and diagnose the problem of these children and intervene accordingly.
